The BlackBerry Wireless Handheld™ available from Verizon Wireless offers a powerful wireless email solution on the coast-to-coast NationalAccess. Customers have three options for using the BlackBerry Wireless Handheld™ with their email account:
Note: All options require signing up for a BlackBerry Solution NationalAccess plan with Verizon Wireless and to purchase a BlackBerry Wireless Handheld.
BlackBerry Web Client
New e-mail account: username@vzw. blackberry. net
The address is uniquely associated with the handheld.
Existing ISP e-mail account:

This solution integrates with any ISP that supports POP3 or IMAP. Examples include: AOL®, MSN®, Hotmail®, Earthlink.
BlackBerry Desktop Redirector:
This solution requires a Microsoft Exchange server installed at the user s company office. Users simply leave their PC on and run the BlackBerry desktop redirector to redirect their corporate email to their BlackBerry.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server*:
BlackBerry Enterprise Server seamlessly enables wireless email and corporate data access while satisfying the needs of both mobile users and IT departments. Mobile professionals get effortless access to the information they need while on the road and IT departments get centralized administration in a secure solution.
* Sold Separately BlackBerry Web Client With BlackBerry Web Client from Verizon Wireless, users can send and receive email from their BlackBerry Handheld from Verizon Wireless.
BlackBerry Web Client is an internet-based email interface that allows you to set up email accounts to be wirelessly extended to your handheld including MSN, Hotmail, AOL, Outlook, Notes, IMAP or POP3 ISP email. Email is redirected wirelessly to your BlackBerry Handheld so you can send, receive, forward and reply to messages while you re on the go. You can also view popular document attachments on your handheld.
In addition, a web mail account is provided with each BlackBerry Handheld that can also be accessed through the BlackBerry Web Client on an Internet-enabled PC. This new email address (ex. username@vzw. blackberry. net) acts as the default email address for your handheld. Features and Functionality:

Integrate with up to 10 email accounts Simply go to the Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Web Client site to set up your VZW BlackBerry Web Client address at http: blackberry. com go vzw. The Web Client address is uniquely associated with the device, and there is an online mailbox that can be accessed as well. Once established, you may choose to integrate up to 10 email accounts that support POP3 or IMAP. Examples are: AOL®, MSN®, Hotmail®
All you will need to create a BlackBerry Web Client account for your Verizon Wireless BlackBerry device:
In your desktop browser, type the address for the BlackBerry Web Client: http: blackberry. com go vzw
Click Create a New Account. The Account Set Up page appears.
Type in your PIN and MEID (To find your PIN and MEID, on the handheld Home screen, click the Options icon). Click Status
Click Submit. The Legal Terms and Conditions page appears.
Click Submit. The Legal Terms and Conditions page appears.
If you accept the Terms and Conditions, click I Agree. The Account Set Up page appears.
In the following fields, type the account information:
User ID: Type the login name for your account. Your login name forms the first part of your default handheld email address.
Friendly Name: Type a name that you want to appear in the From field of messages that you send. If you do not type a name, your email address appears in the From field.
Password: Type a password for your account. Passwords should contain between 4 and 16 characters. Passwords are case-sensitive and cannot contain accented characters.
Re-enter Password: Retype your password.
Select a secret question. If you forget your password, you are prompted with this question.
In the Secret Answer field, type the answer to your secret question.
Click Submit. The Account Set-up Complete screen appears.
Click Done. The Email Accounts screen appears.
Select one of the following options:
To add other email accounts, click Email Accounts.
If you do not want to add other email accounts, click Enter Now. BlackBerry Web Client Requirements:
The following components are required to sign in to your Internet-based BlackBerry Web Client account:

Note:
To utilize the redirector functionality, your Desktop PC must remain on and connected to the network in order for email redirection to occur.
BlackBerry Desktop Software utilizing desktop redirector does not work with Outlook Express and Outlook functioning independently from any Exchange Server (i. e. configured through a POP3 server).
BlackBerry Desktop Software utilizing desktop redirector does not support individual POP3 ISP email accounts.
